Eligibility Criteria for Graduate Teachers in Secondary Schools:

The Assam Secondary Education (Provincialised) Service (Amendment) Rules, 2012 has pescribed the amended qualification for direct recruitment too the post of graduate teachers - 

1. Graduate Teacher has been prescribed as BA/B.Sc/B.Com with minimum 50% marks with B.T/B.Ed degree from any recognized university.

2. Hindi Teacher : Pravin/Ratna in Hindi with 50% marks having degree qualification for any recognized university or B.A with Hindi a one of the subject with 50% marks and B.T/B.Ed degree from any recognized university.

3. Classical Teacher (Sanskrit) : Shastri with 50% marks having degree qualification from any recognized university or B.A with Sanskrit as one of the subject with 50% marks and B.T/B.Ed degree from any recognized university.

4. Classical Teacher such as Arbic, Urdu, Parsian etc. MM with 50% marks with degree qualification from any recognized university or B.A with Arbic as one of the subject will 50% marks and B.T/B.Ed from any recognized university.

5. Classical Teacher ( Assamese Language, Manipuri Language) : B.A with Honours / Major in concerned subject with 50% marks and B.T/B.Ed degree from any recognized university.

Eligibility Criteria for Post Graduate Teachers in Secondary/Senior Secondary Schools :

1. The candidate must be a citizen of India.

2. Age of the candidates should not be above 38 years. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates. Age relaxation is applicable as per govt. official Memorandum as applicable.

3. Candidates must have minimum 50% of marks in Master Gegree in Arts/Science/Commerce from a recognized university with B.T/B.Ed .

Educational Qualification:

The Assam Secondary Education Service Rules, has prescribed the following qualification for direct recruitment to the post of Post Graduate Teacher :

The candidate must have Masters Degree (MA/M.Sc/B.Com) with minimum 50% marks in relevent subject with B.T/B..Ed degree from any recognized university.
