Selection Methodology:


1. Selection shall be on the basis of performance of the candidates on the basis of marks obtained by them in the Written Test (of two hours duration) and meeting the notified eligibility criteria.


2. In case of tie (two or more) of marks in the written test, the date of birth (senior by age) shall be the factor to be considered (in that order only) to place a candidate’s rank in the merit list.


3. Call letters for Written Test will be issued to all prima-facie eligible candidates, on the basis of details furnished in On-line Application.


4. For candidates applying for Apprenticeship at Guwahati Refinery, Barauni Refinery, Gujarat Refinery, Haldia Refinery, Panipat Refinery, Digboi Refinery and Bongaigaon Refinery, Written Test will be conducted at the location of respective Refinery Unit. For candidates applying for Apprenticeship at Mathura Refinery and Paradip Refinery, Written Test will be conducted at Delhi and Bhubaneswar respectively. Exact venue details will be communicated in the Admit Card.


5. Written Test will be conducted with Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) consisting of four options with one correct option.


6. A candidate will have to secure a minimum 40% marks in Written Test for qualifying the selection process. The minimum qualifying marks shall be 35% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD categories against reserved positions. Obtaining minimum qualifying marks in the written test does not confer any right or claim by the candidate for being shortlisted for Document verification or the final selection, as the same is based on candidate’s rank in the merit list on the basis of marks obtained in the Written Test, number of seats in respective Trades/Disciplines, candidates meeting the notified eligibility criteria and documents found in order upon verification etc.


7. Candidates belonging to PwBD categories, who have availed of concession in eligibility qualification marks or in Written Test qualifying marks, will be considered against reserved seats, irrespective of their position in select list (in order of merit within the category).


8. Filling up of the seats is solely at the discretion of the management based on suitability of candidates and no claim will arise for engagement, if some of these seats are not filled due to unsuitability/insufficient number of candidates.

Stipend: Rate of stipend payable to apprentices per month shall be as prescribed under Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 / Apprentices Rules 1992 (as amended) and Corporation’s guidelines.

Selection Process: 

The 'Online' Applications will be sorted out Centre wise. The conduct of
test is planned during the month of end Nov 2019. The Selection procedure is as follows:- 

(a) Short-listing criteria will be based on higher percentage of marks for a particular
examination Centre. 

(b) The qualifying cut off percentage (%) of a particular Centre may be increased if more
number of applications with higher percentage is received. 

(c) The written examination will be of objective type, which will generally cover subjects
Quantitative Aptitude, Mathematics, General Sciences, General English, General Awareness
(Current Affairs & General Knowledge) and Reasoning (Verbal & Non-Verbal). 

(d) Those who qualify written examination will undergo Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Initial
Medical Examination (Preliminary). The testing procedure will take 2-3 days. Physically
Challenged candidates are not eligible to apply for this examination. 


(e) Physical Fitness Test (PFT). PFT will be conducted for all those who qualify the written
tests. All candidates are advised to be in possession of sport rig (Shoe, T-shirt, Trouser etc).
The PFT will consist of:- 

 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes. 
 20 Squat ups (Uthak Baithak) 
 10 Push up. Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their own risk. 

(f) Candidates who qualify the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) will only be required to undergo
initial recruitment medical examination at the respective recruitment Centres or any other place
as decided by the Indian Coast Guard. 

(g) Based on the performance in the written examination, candidates will be shortlisted for
medical examination in a ratio as may be decided by the Indian Coast Guard. Mere declaration of
fit in initial medical examination does not indicate selection of the candidate for the final medical
at INS Chilka.
(h) The select list will be prepared from the candidates who qualify in all the tests depending
upon the available vacancies. 

The Zone wise select list of candidates will be displayed in the
Indian Coast Guard Website www.joinindiancoastguard.gov.in in the month of Mar 2020. It is
clarified that merit list will be zone wise and not centre wise.

Medical Standards:

(a) Medical examination will be conducted by authorised Military Doctors as per medical

from Indian Nationals (Male only):-

Boards Roads Organization (BRO) invites of total 540 vacancies following below:-

Name of posts: Multi Skilled Worker (Driver Engine Static) 

No of posts: 540 [UR-221, SC-81, ST-40, OBC-145, EWSs-53]

Educational Qualification:

(i) Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent,

(ii) Possessing certificate of Mechanic Motor /Vehicles / Tractors
from Industrial Training Institute / Industrial Trade Certificate /
National Council for Training in the Vocational Trades / State
Council for Vocational Training.

 Or

Passed Class 2 course for Driver Plant and Mechanical Transport
as laid down in Defence Service Regulations. (Qualification
Regulations for Soldiers) from office of Records/Centres or similar
establishment of Defence.

(iii) Should qualify in proficiency test in the trade to be conducted
by Border Roads Organisation.

(iv) Should qualify physical tests as per Border Roads
Organisation guidelines.

(v) Should meet physical and medical standards as per Border
Roads Organisation guidelines.

Pay: Level- 1 Rs. 18000.00 (As per 7th Pay Commission)

Age: between 18 to 25 years. Relaxation are SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/PwD candidates.
